and negotiating letters of credit. Reduced inventory 20% by implementing a
sales forecasting system. Developed and implemented a new job costing system.

CONTROLLER
Responsible for financial operations,
information technology and human resources for this manufacturer of specialty
consumer items. Replaced Peachtree Accounting with Navision accounting system
on a Windows NT network. Reduced month end closing from 10 days to 3 days while improving the accuracy of the
financial statements.

manufactures and distributes water and wastewater treatment equipment
worldwide. I was hired to get inventory under control and reduce costs.
CONTROLLER - Manage a staff of
four. Responsible for all aspects of financial operations. Responsibilities
include financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, cash
management, contract negotiation and inventory control.
- $600,000 reduction
in inventory and 4% reduction in cost of goods sold - Designed and
implemented new sales forecasting and job costing systems.
- 85% reduction in
time to produce month end financials (reduced time from 7 to 1 day) - Implemented
financial portion of DBA Manufacturing Software and streamlined all financial
reporting systems.
- Developed and
implemented all new accounting systems and controls.
- Implemented
posting production schedule to web – allowed major customers to get up to the minute status of their
jobs.

coffee flavorings. Revenue had grown from $6M to $25M. I was brought in to
develop and implement desperately needed accounting systems and controls.
CONTROLLER - Managed a staff of
up to five. Responsible for all aspects of financial operation, information
technology and human resources.
- 70% reduction in
time to produce month end financials (reduced time from 10 to 3 days) – Replaced 3 separate reporting
systems (Peachtree, Alpha 4 and Excel) with one, Navision.
- Converted
accounting system - Converted from Peachtree Accounting to Navision. Wrote
RFP for new software. Responsible for all aspects of design and new
implementation.
- $50,000
reduction in inventory shortage 1st six months - Inventory
located at up to ten different subcontractor locations. Put controls in place
to track inventory at each location.
