First Annual Search for Raleigh’s Funniest Accountant
The First Annual Search for Raleigh’s Funniest Accountant was a huge success. Nearly 100 people showed up to watch 7 amateur comedians vie for the title of the Funniest Accountant in Raleigh. The event was held at Goodnight’s Comedy Club. Proceeds from the event went to Junior Achievement.
Tom Presley from Williams Overman Pierce, LLP was the grand prize winner. As the winner of this event he will be flown to Atlanta to participate in the Search for the Funniest Accountant in the South on November 6th.

Second prize went to Paul Pittman, and third prize went to a newcomer to the comedy stage – Amanda Jones.
To cap off the night’s festivities, Mike O’Neill – Atlanta’s Funniest Accountant in 2006 was on hand with his dry comedic wit.
Everyone had a great time dispelling negative stereotypes as we proved that Accountants are Funny Too in Raleigh! We are looking forward to making this an annual event.
