Cost Accountant

A Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing and understanding the costs of a company's operations, preparing cost reports, and assisting with budgeting inventory valuation and cost control measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Prepare and maintain cost accounting records, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
  • Develop and implement cost accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost-related insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and improve overall financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
