Payroll Manager

A Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery and confirming compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Review and approve payroll calculations, including wages, expense reimbursements, deductions, and taxes.
  • Resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries from employees, HR, and finance teams.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPP or other payroll certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
