Senior Accountant

A Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and verifying the accuracy of financial statements, maintaining accounting records, and contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing support for financial planning and analysis.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, reviewing their work and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or working towards CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
