Tax Senior

A Tax Senior oversees and prepares complex tax returns, researches tax laws, and adivses on tax strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns started by the Tax Staff.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax benefits.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax staff, reviewing their work and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
