Tax Senior Manager

A Tax Senior Manager leads the tax team in completing complex tax returns, researches tax laws, and adivses on tax strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the tax department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax planning opportunities.
  • Review and approve complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to tax team members, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external advisors on tax-related matters and business initiatives.
  • Typically reports to the Tax Director and supervises the Tax Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective tax strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing staff.
