Senior Accountant

Accountants One is working with an incredible, repeat client to help them hire a Senior Accountant that is looking for an opportunity to learn and be promoted!  This is a great opportunity to join a private-equity backed company that will grow.  This is a newly added role that offers you the chance to help make an impact on the company and the department. 

The successful candidate needs to have inventory accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.  This role also offers a great amount of time spent with executive management, a chance to shine and take on additional responsibilities and titles. 

Job Duties: 

• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations and preparing financial statements
• Prepare monthly financial reporting package for management and for banking / lender requirements, including variance analysis and trend analysis
• Prepare property tax returns and sales tax returns
• Assist with external audit and tax partners
• Cost accounting and inventory accounting for imported inventory
• Special projects for Controller and CFO

Job Requirements:

• Accounting degree
• CPA or CMA a plus, not required
• Five or more years of accounting experience
• Corporate or Divisional level accounting experience
• Manufacturing or Distribution industry experience
• Inventory accounting experience required
• Strong Excel and ERP experience
