Cost Accountant

Accountants One has been engaged to help a $100M privately held industrial fabricator headquartered just southeast of Gainesville, Georgia (close to I-85) recruit and hire a Cost Accountant that will be responsible for cost accounting, inventory and billing.  This is a great opportunity to work closely with and learn from the CFO.  It will also involve occasionally walking the plant as an integral part of the position’s responsibilities and for learning and becoming more intimately familiar with the business operations and how the operations relate to the accounting.

Job Functions:

• Work closely with production to ensure accuracy of cost accounting numbers and inventory levels
• Oversee inventory accounting from receiving inventory through finished goods. 
• Inventory reconciliation
• Assist with month end close and financial statement preparation
• Maintain monthly inventory accruals
• Special projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Accounting or Finance degree
• 2 or more years of accounting experience
• Highly preferred: manufacturing / inventory experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Good interpersonal skills to work across multiple departments
