Controller - SaaS / Software Company

We're partnering with a growing SaaS company in Marietta on a Controller search. This is a hands-on, "one-person finance department" role — you'll own accounting, finance, and light-weight HR operations for the business, reporting directly to leadership.  SaaS / software industry experience is a must.

What you'll do:

• Serve as the sole finance/accounting/HR resource, owning day-to-day operations end-to-end
• Lead the transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Manage the general ledger, close process, and financial reporting in QuickBooks
• Track and report on SaaS metrics (MRR/ARR, deferred revenue, churn) to support leadership decision-making
• Build scalable finance processes and controls to support subscription-based growth
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning
• Payroll, benefits and 401(k) plan administration
• HR administration (recruiting logistics, onboarding, policies)

What we're looking for:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including hands-on Controller or Senior Accountant work
• SaaS or software industry experience is required
• ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Strong QuickBooks proficiency
• Comfort wearing multiple hats in a small-company environment
• HR/payroll exposure a plus
