Purchasing Coordinator - Construction - Hybrid: 3 days in-office and 2 remote
Accountants One has a repeat client in the construction industry, who is over by the Perimeter Area. They are looking for someone who has 3 + years working in purchasing in the construction industry. Hours 7:30 am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
Accountants One has a repeat client in the construction industry, who is over by the Perimeter Area. They are looking for someone who has 3 + years working in purchasing in the construction industry. Hours 7:30 am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and maintaining budgets
- Maintaining costs associated with budgets
- Creating and submitting spreadsheets related to purchasing costs
- PO/VPO creation and coordination
- Reviewing all purchasing invoices
- Submitting invoices for payment
- Communicating with vendors
Requirements:
- 2+ years in Purchasing preferably with a home builder
- AS Degree or experience
- Must have home construction, maybe engineering or manufacturing
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
- IHMS/ITK A PLUS
- Accounts Payable / Invoice Processing – Experience reviewing and submitting vendor invoices for payment.
- Budget Management – Ability to review, maintain, and track budgets accurately.
- Cost Analysis – Experience with tracking and maintaining costs tied to budgets and purchases.
- Spreadsheet Proficiency (Excel or Google Sheets) – Strong skills in creating, updating, and analyzing spreadsheets related to purchasing costs.
- ERP/Accounting Systems – Familiarity with systems like SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or other purchasing or financial software.
- Purchase Order (PO) / Vendor PO (VPO) Management – Experience in generating and managing purchase orders.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to Detail – Precision in handling financial documentation and spreadsheets.
- Communication Skills – Clear and professional communication with vendors and internal teams.
- Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks and track deadlines, budgets, and invoices.
- Problem-Solving – Capable of identifying discrepancies in invoices or budgets and resolving them.
- Team Collaboration – Works well with purchasing, accounting, and operations departments.
