Senior Property Accountant

Accountants One is working with well established Real Estate Company looking for their next Property Accountant/ Senior Property Accountant. The company is growing and is a highly professional organization and very customer focused. They offer a hybrid work schedule.

The Property Accountant/ Senior Property Accountant will handle the following:

• Handle accounting for assigned properties
• Month end close, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, bank reconciliation, etc.
• Insure the accuracy of reconciliations for each property
• Cash flow reports
• Financial packages prepared in a timely manner to the partners
• Approval and review payables on time
• Year-end audits
• Work closely with leadership on the financial statements analyzing the variances
• Assist with any special projects or task

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree accounting, finance or business
• 2-4 years of experience for a Property Accountant
• 5+ years for a senior property accountant
• Must have real estate industry experience- Multi-Family, Commercial or Industrial or can come from public accounting working on real estate clients on the audit side
• Strong excel skills
• ERP system experience with MRI or Yardi preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
